Pros

Unlimited vacation, ability to work from home, central office location

Cons

HireBetter is a recruiting agency ran by former accountants. They have no knowledge of recruitment and recently laid off about 50% of their staff. The layoffs included the majority of employees that actually had a background in recruiting - smart move. Fairly confident that the company is nothing more than a way for the CEO to ensure his investments do well, as a little research shows the majority of his clients are companies he has personally invested in.

Pros

Working remotely Decent insurance I believe the CEO does care about his employees but needs to be more receptive and more approachable. Quarterly meetings to see the team

Cons

This without a doubt one of the worst companies I have ever worked for that has terrible leadership. The President of the organization makes no attempt to get to know his new employees while many of us don't sit in Austin. He does have monthly check ins with tenured employees to see how things are going. Not only invest in tenured employees but also new hires as well. The leadership is nothing but a gossip train while my direct manager consistently stayed on the phone gossiping with fellow employees. It is a fight to get any tools needed in order to succeed in any role with this company. While many of the other reviews have stated the continued/new business comes from the CEO and his connections with the YPO organization. If you are truly looking to grow the organization across the country you can't just invest in people you have invest in the brand. Commission structure is terrible I felt very fooled by this company and believed in them.

Pros

Leadership does care about the strength and success of the organization and knows that comes from its people. The focus on client service is top notch and the ability of the various levels in the organization to work together seamlessly and with great vigor for their clients (which are both companies and candidates) is inspiring. I always felt like the heart was in the right place.

Cons

Being a fully retained search firm as you move into new markets can be a challenge but it is the right way to approach the business and the right way to drive client relationships.
