Good experience / Bad work-life balance (for new grads - DO NOT WORK HERE)
Pros
- Flexibility in assignments - Work on top-class products/technologies - For the most part, people are great to work with (friendly, experts, expats are very respectful)
Cons
1) Farmington Hill office is heavily customer-centric, so little to no opportunity for real design or actual engineering work. Majority of the teams are dealing with customers and liaisoning with Japan, which mean A LOT of time spent in meetings, including late/early ones. I was required to join over 25 hours of meetings per week. 2) Company is overly beauracratic: inefficient processes, slow change, and unorganized. A lot of talk about big plan, but no action or results. 3) Handful of managers & leaders are manipulative and know how to play the corporate game. Some of them have ZERO leadership skills or characteristic, and being talked to condescendly is somewhat of a norm. Watch out for the "boys club." 4) Salarly is average and "market competetitve" but be very wary about bonuses. You could get swindled.
