Pros

You get to work for a strong mission of helping to meet the needs of seniors and people with disabilities. There are a number of programs that can be customized to the individual. All employee seem to care about the mission and the clients. Fundraising efforts and donors are impressive.

Cons

Executive leadership and some employees are very passive aggressive and refuse to communicate needs or solutions to specific individuals and instead circumvent the situation altogether never addressing it. The new CEO Steve McGraw lacks leadership skills and fails to motivate staff. He leads by intimidation, threats and bullying. Some key staff members have left under his leadership. The Board of Directors need to take note of his leadership style. He is not a motivational mentor who helps staff acclimate to his management style. He is a right fighter and what he says goes even if it isn't in the best interest of the program. He lacks understanding or professional writing and tries to write articles himself instead of letting the experts he hired write the article.

Lack of Leadership

Pros

Homage does excellent work providing services for older adults in Snohomish County. All programs at Homage care deeply about the people they serve and give all clients the utmost respect and service.

Cons

Lack of communication from Senior Management. Departments are siloed, and often do not know what is happening within other programs in the organization. Expectations to serve a higher number of clients without hiring additional staff. Often asks staff for their input on improving the overall workflow but does not take the suggestions and implement them. This looks performative when staff is blatantly letting SMT know what support is needed and nothing is done about it.

Pros

Everyone is kind and down to Earth. The staff is diverse in ethnicities and lifestyles. They understand the importance of work life balance and are empathetic and accommodating.

Cons

32 hour work weeks but they are accomodating.
