Pros

The people are nice and friendly. I was able to ask a lot of questions and my mentor was very helpful, but they are busy too so I didn't want to bother them too much. Remote positions are offered, which is a plus.

Cons

Absolutely no training. They threw me in the fire without explaining process or programs. Expected me to know exactly what I was doing after 1 day of shadowing a team member. On top of that - there were 0 expectations of the role. I was questioned on my work and how much was getting done, and I asked them to give me an expectation and was ignored. Was let go after 2 months for "too many mistakes" when the ones they were referring to were UWM's mistakes.

Pros

After being with this company for a year, I've seen a lot of great things. I was hired with limited experience, but I was able to grow in that first position and have been given more responsibilities over time. I've felt like my ideas are welcomed and heard. The sincerely inclusive nature of the culture here is great and, I imagine, a rarity in this industry. This company is growing rapidly and it's exciting to be a part of that growth.

Cons

With any rapidly growing company, there are growing pains. When processes are not already established, it can be a challenge to implement what will work best for everyone, but that's not specific to this company. That would be the case regardless. Something that can be frustrating sometimes is not having defined roles. You might be expected to handle something that isn't solely your responsibility but, again, that comes with a growing company and not necessarily having enough hands to do all the work.
