Pros

Remote work flexibility Direct supervisors are OK Decent insurance

Cons

All of the good reviews you are seeing from recent are FAKE! It is so unfortunate to work for a company that would do this. We lay people off like it is going out of style. Your job at HomeTown is never secure. Pay is not comparable with market. Leadership is a WRECK. Nobody in leadership has any clue what they are doing or has a clue about this industry. Overworked like crazy with unrealistic expectations Promises are always made and NEVER kept If you are decent at your job, you will be asked to do things outside of your job description with no additional pay or benefit. Do NOT even consider working at HomeTown. You will regret it.

Pros

-Flexible PTO -WFH (heard this might be changing) -Snacks, drinks, weekly donuts or bagels -2x monthly catered lunch -Some paid parental leave -Average benefits ( medical, dental, vision, HSA, 401k match, STD, LTD, voluntary benefits-additional life insurance, commuter, FSA, dependent FSA) -Casual dress code -10 paid holidays

Cons

If you see a positive review here on Glassdoor, I'd suspect it's fake or a brand new person. I would never recommend this place to family or friends. -As everyone else has said: SOOO many layoffs. Recently they let go of nearly the entire support team and no plan to manage the thousands of open support cases. Ultimately, the already overworked client success team had take them on. -Unrealistic business goals because of a lack of understanding business forecasting. -Direction to heavily push product of a business partner vs improve our product. -Little work-home life balance. -Travel is reimbursed versus company paying upfront cost. -No transparency of vision. -Lack of operational strategy. -CEO with questionable moral and ethical history. -Zero diversity. -Little, if any, cross-functional communication.

Pros

None. This company has continuously gone downhill.

Cons

Run far far away from this company. Leadership turned into an absolute joke after an acquisition of a competitor, and everything went downhill. They overwork you and praise people who don't have a work life balance. They expect you to work extra hours during the summer months without any bonus or extra compensation, it's just expected. Oh and don't forget the time during the holidays, which they fired 25% of the company, and then gave every employee an $8 (I'm not kidding) gift card for coffee.
