Pros

They will act fast with filing their beds

Cons

Lack of family compassion and interaction. Regards client's requests for transport to different facility. Allows even suicidal people to leave the facility at any time they would like. Refuses to inform family of any efforts to help the individual. Does not provide any form of contact information to check on the client. Releases client's at their request and does not offer transportation services, nor offers a waiting area until a family member can pick them up. The facility has a foul odor, multiple areas of untreated mold, staff is unfriendly and unprofessional. Complete waste of time... you will not receive any form of treatment other than handfuls of medications to alter your mood and make you sleep your life away.

Pros

Work experience...I is well known in the community that if you can survive this chaos, you can work anywhere. It is an easy place to get hired as the turn-over rate of employees is huge. I was here for a very short period of time and became the only counselor on the floor, doing the work of four.

Cons

lack of actual training to preform job, unrealistic expectation from employer on the amount of work that can be accomplished in 40 hrs and the expectation that you WILL work for free to finish that work. You will be expected to preform duties that could cost you your liscense. Clients sign in under different counselors names, yet a single counselor is doing the work.

Pros

A great opportunity to work in mental health and addictions.

Cons

Work and communication are unorganized and constantly changing. There are too many chiefs and the Dr. isn't the most pleasant of character.
