Pros

nice clothes, pay was higher than regular retail... however the increase does not constitute the horrible treatment.

Cons

- management steals sales from you so it's impossible to make commission, especially when they see that it's a big sale, they personally ring out the sale them self (managers make commission too) - only managers can be at the cash register most days - shift times are unreasonable and short (they try to save as much money as possible) - items are crazy over priced. (look on fashion nova & colors of aurora for the exact same pieces) - coworkers are all fake and extremely hostile and aggressive at selling - forced to buy their expensive overpriced clothing (the most recent pieces and they have new pieces all the time) - management performs "initiation" on new people and make them greet at the front for their first two weeks before even letting them hit the floor - ZERO training and onboarding - breaks are never scheduled, they tell you to go on break and you have to go at that moment, or you don't go at all - turnover is EXTREMELY high. during my time there the employee with the longest tenure was 8 months and I saw three people walk out on the job on their first shift. they left on their break and never returned. - the OWNER of the store does not have any regard for her customers whatsoever. during my time there, she walked in on multiple customers in the change room and told them to get out of the store because she didn't want their "dirty" body trying on her clothes. one woman was so infuriated that honey(the owner) walked in on her changing that there was a huge scene. - when management gets in trouble all they do is shift the blame to their sales associates because they are afraid of honey. - the owner of the store also talks down on her associates and blatantly insults them to their face (I've had girls tell me that honey made them cry multiple times in the past) - she also calls people out for making mistakes in front of everyone working to embarrass them - management does not try to defend their associates whatsoever, strictly focused on making their commission and not upsetting the owner. - they schedule you at their different locations in the GTA and expect you to be able to find your own transportation. will not take any excuses. OVERALL, there are so many things wrong with this company. the only thing that is keeping it going is the fact that it is a local GTA based business and that the buyer and visual merchandiser is extremely talented at their position. Otherwise, store dynamics and treatment of employees is such a huge concern that it may even violate employment standards. All they care about are new, eager employees that are ready to sell and once they burn out, they are recycled and no longer needed. Hiring process is a joke. EXTREMELY stressful environment

Pros

Zero. None. Not even a thing.

Cons

I was embarrassed to tell people I worked for this company. Trashy, cheap & out dated. Due to the narcissistic & insecure nature of the CEO, she goes out of her way to bully, demoralise and devalue her staff on a daily basis. She will also cry for attention, slamming things around the office, shouting & screaming in meetings, much like a psychotic child deprived of attention during her upbringing and now projects her hatred for life & herself onto all those around her. Work environment is racist, sexist & straight up miserable. Software is slow & from the 50’s, much like the C-suit themselves. Don’t expect to learn anything here, no one wants to teach you or has the time. Office is like a 2nd hand junk yard filled with dusty, dirty, miss matched office furniture with a dank stench that radiates from the single broken toilet shared with 30 others (warehouse staff & truck drivers).
