      Great students, teachers need more support

      Pros

      great students and coworkers, good salary compared to other nearby universities, administration allows foreign faculty to design their program with few restrictions. The facilities have recently been updated.

      Cons

      The Jochiwon campus is in the middle of nowhere, and the only pay increases over many years have come from the union's efforts. They don't provide teachers with their own office computers, and the wi-fi can be terrible in the teachers' offices.

      Pros

      *The English Department leaves you alone and lets you teach your classes as you see fit. *Long summer/winter vacations (paid).

      Cons

      *The salary is wholly insufficient given the cost of living in Seoul. *Teaching hours are too long for a faculty position. *The students are not the best or brightest. *The facilities/tech are often inadequate or only function half the time, often preventing you from being able to properly teach your class.
