Cons
It has been more than 5-years since Hostbooks has started its own product development. No doubt the Hostbooks is working very hard on its vision and has claimed many successful deliveries However, down the line, the situation is not the same as it seems, it is very fragile. 1.. The company has no product management process, neither it follows any development methodology. Most of the things are done by either verbal communication or email that often leads to miscommunication and project delay. 2.. Due to lack of technical and architectural supervision, people are easily violating the coding standard, the code repositories are messed and unwatched, no major concern about data security and due to lack of QA, there is always a major performance concern with the final products. 3..The lack of professionalism and skills in middle managers leads to unethical acts, they are failed to have transparency and guild the team. Boss flattery, rank discrimination is very common in HostBooks, like the managers and leads get special tea in ceramic cups where other employees take in the disposal cup by themself. 4.. Women harassment: From the last two years, plenty of cases appear about women staking, ridicule, unprofessionalism etc. In most cases, the victim either has resigned or got terminated. 5.. HR is inefficient here, they don't follow any rules and ethics, They are failed to control women's harassment, They are failed in the hiring, They are always delayed in documents, no policy for WFH, lack of transparency. Even this COVID pandemic situation, they don't even update the employe about salary and takes feedback. 6.. WFH: Delayed in monthly salary and has been cut to 30%, asked employees to go for LWP.
