Clickish environment
VERY few females (If you are a female, you will QUICKLY get disrespected on the phone as the majority of the call center are males. Customers automatically assume you dont know what you are doing or are a secretary as soon as you answer the phone.)
If you have a question, please already be techie, because your answer will come in the form of the most technical words the person can use.
Your expected to get the caller information, analyze, and solve cases in 5 mins. Does not help if the person you are talking too barely knows anything about technology, but it is still put on you for being on the phone too long.
Only a couple sick days
Expected to be to work regardless or conditions outside. (I lived about an hour from the job and we had a blizzard where roads were being closed down. I was told I was still expected to work and had to go because I was still in my probationary period. I still have a scratch on my car from sliding at 8MPH and hitting a rail.)
Management is selective in who they are cool with and who they push
Some people dont do their share in their workload, as you take on cases and chats on an honor system. (I even mentioned this to management and nothing was done about it while I was there.)
