Pros

I got to do some pretty cool work, but at what cost?

Cons

Holy hell. Had the chance to create a seriously cool, novel, technology, but it was strangled to death by venture capital. The executive management team was actually the worst. I would say the place was hilariously mismanaged, except there was absolutely nothing funny about the hell that was the experience of working for that horrid collection of political knife wielding psychos.

Pros

Definite market need for the promised product

Cons

Executive team had no understanding or desire to learn about the drug testing industry. C-suite executives and operations/R&D teams developed a product with no consideration for customer needs resulting in a faulty product that did not align with market expectations/requirements. Lack of senior operations team members led to extreme cost and time overages, poorly defined/managed manufacturing processes, and selection of high cost, poorly located contract manufacturers. Several senior executives hired previous colleagues into positions that they lacked proper work experience for.
