You got the opportunity to work from anywhere, pick your work hours and pricing. Some startup founders can be difficult to deal with; changing project spec often and still demand the agreed price to be same. On Hourspent, this is different, each change on project scope changes the budget for it. Everyone . .. I mean everyone is on their toes. You're either in or out no slacking. If you're basically looking for distributed teams to work with and get paid, don't go there. They're interested in talents with passion.
Cons
Sometimes you get easily exhausted. I have 2 workload on my work stream with other 4 engineers. We're to complete these in 1 month, this is extremely tight unless you're working in China. For the past week, I've not stepped out of my house because of it. I think they're working on reducing each teams workload because two more engineers joined us today but we're yet to hear from management.
