Pros

You can make money but at what cost?

Cons

Frat house mentality, they brag about ripping customers off, no business cards, no it department, honestly I doubt any of their customers information is safe. Constant non stop lying. Apparently they spend over a mil on marketing? On what? Expected to work 12 hours a day/ 7 days a week. Favoritism. Sales meetings are half of it talking about himself or talking trash about other companies.

Pros

None that I can think of. Good company parties I guess.

Cons

Workplace hostility is the name of the game at HouseMax. The CRO could often be heard yelling and often punching walls and desks when his employees wouldn’t perform to his ridiculous standards. He would threaten termination often and this could be heard all throughout the office. The president/CEO would toast to the CRO’s alleged “rock-solid moral character” at the company’s gatherings. This was truly disturbing. You would be hazed and ridiculed for taking PTO for one week a year. Also something infuriating due to the CRO’s work-yourself-to-mental-health-hell mentality. Just look at the CRO’s LinkedIn. He loves to talk about how holidays should be spent working and not relaxing.

Pros

-The sales team is able to make unlimited commissions -Hard work is valued -The company is putting in processes to allow account executives to focus more on bringing in accounts and less on managing their pipeline -Management is thoughtful of the way market changes may impact the team's ability to sell, and helps the team weather the storm

Cons

-While growing, the company is still nimble enough to make quick adjustments when needed -If you are not a hardworker, you will not like working at HouseMax
