Horrible management and low job security are waiting for you here
Pros
- Some good people on IC positions - Interesting product if you're into e-commerce
Cons
- BE AWARE: the culture became increasingly toxic over time. - They give you three 1-year contracts before you get a permanent one. This gives them an easy way to get rid of people when things go bad (which happens quite often). - They try to make it seem like they're doing fine, but all the signs indicate the opposite: they recently moved into a new office that is two times smaller than the previous one. Now they're doing "silent" layoffs, especially within the product department. - While I was employed, they downsized product managers, design department, and also some people from other departments. At the same time during the all hands meetings they're saying how the company is going to grow soon. - Recent management changes reduced employee trust in the company's direction. Now the only ones who can feel confident about the future are the ones who really suck up to management. - The salary is on the lower end of market values, benefits are just ridiculous. - The company direction is non-existent. They don't know what to do in order to start making money, which makes most product decisions absolutely random. - You can't trust your manager. They will tell you one thing, but do something else completely.
