Pros

Directors are vey upbeat. Good office culture

Cons

Hours are very long in season. On average 60 per week if not more. Very low pay, most people never hit their goal for commission. If they do the season is pretty much over and you start to sell for the next season leaving you with your base salary. *DO NOT TAKE THIS JOB UNLESS YOU ARE RIGHT OUT OF COLLEGE WITH LOW BILLS*

Do not work here

Pros

Atmosphere of working in a ballpark.

Cons

Poor management and weak leadership. If you are considering applying for a position here I would think twice. You will hardly every have a meeting with your direct manager. You will find yourself lost in your role and confused about what's expected from you, because no one will be clear on their expectations of what they want from you. You will ask questions but you will never get answers. If there is ever an issue involving you. You will be the last person to here about it. Not until you're called into Human Resources and they starting telling you all the issues they've seen with your performance. You won't have a clue what they are talking about. Because your manager and/or director wouldn't have communicated with you at all previously. They have favorites. Certain people can and will do whatever they want. Certain people will work the schedule they want. This will never be addressed, not even if you bring it to your managers attention or HR's attention. However you will be held accountable for what they except from you. There are several people that work there that are so unhappy. I would not work here unless you don't have a choice, and for the most part you will have a choice.

Pros

You get to be around the Astros, watch every home game and be a part of something awesome and bigger than yourself.

Cons

With seasonal retail, you most likely need something to support you financially, unless you already have a day job and are doing this to be around the club.
