Pros

The company as a whole is awesome. People in other departments were so nice and welcoming on my first day and every day after. The perks are great (i.e. season tickets, access to rodeo, other events around Houston).

Cons

The accounting department is under-staffed, under-paid, and over-worked. Senior management has some serious time management and leadership issues. The top 2 people in the department work a severe amount of overtime and still can't get there jobs done b/c they don't prioritize and plan. Then they pull thier support staff off of their responsibilites to help them, therefore causing them to be behind on their work. Zero professionalism whatsover. Have been told upper management is watching and something will be done....how many accountants have to leave before that happens? Very high turnover rate.

Pros

Very fast paced, high energy, high caliber, high expectations, high quality. Very intelligent work force.

Cons

No time to smell the roses. So performance driven that relationships are overlooked. High stress. The company demands a ton from employees so family tends to suffer. It's always what have you done for me lately and appreciation seems fleeting.
