only any good if you're good pals with either CEO/Founder or his school mates/family. For God's sake DON'T crtitise any of their rather dodgy practices or you're gone.

The only way we can handle this head-on is to provide facts here. The following senior leaders were recruited into the business and did *not* know Calum before: Chief Financial Officer, Chief Product Officer, VP Legal and Compliance, Head of Account Management, Head of Pre-tenancy, Sales team lead, Enterprise Sales Director, Head of Strategy, Ops Director PH, Ops Manager PH, Treasurer PH, Head of Engineering, Operations Business Partner, Company Chair. Calum has recruited three friends into the business, 1 in the c-suite and 2 in management (of over 60 people): FinOps Manager, Ops Manager and Chief of Staff. They all work incredibly hard. Therefore of 18 managers, there are 3 people with who Calum has a friendship outside of work. The following people have worked with Calum before, but are not acquaintances out of work: Head of Sales and Marketing and CTO. Pros

The team, especially the Account Management, Ops and Concierge teams whom I worked closely with before resigning, I will miss them most, and being able to use a CRM system which shows you in real time your productiveness in dealing with tasks

Cons

After resigning I realised that another Account Manager who started just after me and who had left days before I did and within and before our 3 month probationary period was up that we both had same reasons for leaving, Nepotism and no matter how good you are at the job and with years of experience, you can't navigate a nepotism led environment in the workplace. It is a shame, as a company its original manifesto of being different to the status quo and standard high Street Estate agency was a great and attractive, but the ambition has been lost to nepotism within its infrastructure.

Hi there, This is not the experience we expect our team to have. As a CEO and founder I have spent up to 5 years with some of our team, my approach is friendly and relaxed. When trust is earned, people get on and deliver, even during the most challenging times. I often host direct conversations with colleagues across the entire business and anyone can meet, call or email me. We do have high expectations and I back our leaders to ensure we have the best people in our teams. The last 18 months have been tough for everyone, from our suppliers to our customers and colleagues. Howsy as a business is on a really important mission with a team of over 50 who get up day in day out to support that mission. All the best Calum CEO @ Howsy

Pros

Amazing atmosphere. Office dog. Take your own dog to work. Casual dress. Regular team social events. Free food and drinks.

Cons

Expectations from Directors are unrealistic. Huge staff turnover. Immature systems. Misleading statements about their technology. Lack of lettings experience within key divisions within company. Poor support from management. Not enough staff to deliver the product.
