Pros
Great name recognition and decent pay for experience. Amazing colleagues to work with.
Cons
Not a progressive work environment - women are very much expected to be pretty with no opinions, or to be sleeping or drinking with someone above them. Management-Down philosophy, where upper management gives orders down line. If there is any issue or problem with a project, it becomes a blame game where the lowest person in the project will get hung (and generally fired) for the entire thing. No encouragement for personal or professional growth; no work-life balance (expected to be providing excellent customer service at all times, even if that means answering emails on an out of country vacation on your personal phone. To note on the professional development, I heard numerous times that I or others shouldn't get involved in x, y, or z organization within the community, because otherwise we would have to, "Watch our backs, as our paycheck comes from Hubbell not Des Moines Chamber/Leadership Programs/Association and Board Roles."
