Nice Place to Work

Pros

The Austin office is really nice, they provide lunches every Wednesday and host many team events around the holidays, happy hours, and team bonding activities. The benefits are good. Huckberry is pretty active in the Austin community. Managers are great and really supportive! There seems to be strong support if you start in one department and want to switch to a different department. The Customer Experience team is really on top of the game and very passionate about the customer. The company seems to be very growth-focused and eager to innovate/use new tech.

Cons

A hybrid work environment could be a con to some and IMO, behind the trend on unlimited PTO - still using an accrual system, but depending on your manager, the PTO could still be pretty flexible if you are on top of your work.

Strong brand, great people, and a fun place to work

Pros

Huckberry has a really strong brand and a team that genuinely cares about making great work, which makes it a fun place to be if you’re in a creative role. The environment is collaborative and there’s a lot of trust to run with ideas and figure things out creatively. The Austin office has a great vibe and it really feels like a work hard play hard kind of place. People take the work seriously but there’s also a lot of fun in the day to day, and it’s hard not to feel inspired when everyone around you has great style, great taste, and clearly cares about the culture the brand represents. It feels like you’re surrounded by tastemakers who actually live the lifestyle Huckberry is built around, and on top of that people here are just genuinely good humans, which makes it an enjoyable place to work.

Cons

Like most fast moving creative and e commerce environments, timelines can move quickly and priorities sometimes shift depending on launches or campaigns. Being flexible and able to adapt is important.
