Pros

Hudson RPO once stood as a beacon in the recruitment industry, attracting and retaining top talent. Our success was built not just on a thriving business model, but on a deeply embedded culture of respect, integrity, and support. This wasn't accidental; our previous leadership genuinely embodied these values, which resonated throughout the entire staff. The company's profile proudly states, "People are at the centre of everything we do," a sentiment that, sadly, no longer rings true.

Cons

The arrival of new leadership, under highly questionable circumstances, marked a dramatic shift. Key positions were filled by their former associates and colleagues, bypassing internal talent and opportunities. This new regime systematically dismantled the very culture that had made Hudson RPO a great place to work, attempting to impose a new, incompatible work culture. This "one-size-fits-all" approach, seemingly driven by a CEO with no prior experience in such a role, has proven disastrous, particularly given the diverse value systems across our regions. The clearest evidence of this cultural erosion is the exodus of highly respected and tenured leads and consultants. Those who remain appear to be either fearful or disengaged, choosing to keep a low profile amidst the undeniable signs of decline. Adding insult to injury, long-serving consultants, who consistently generate between $400K-$1M/year each for the business, were reportedly offered an insulting pay increase and 0 bonus after years of stagnant wages. The current environment at Hudson RPO is characterized by fear, low morale, and demotivated high-performers who have dedicated years of loyalty to the brand. Despite leadership's pronouncements about securing new clients and opportunities, these claims have largely been unsubstantiated, serving only as a hollow attempt to project an image of growth that simply doesn't exist.

Toxic workplace

Pros

Flexible working options are the norm for most people. Good for managing your day as you want but all depends on the client you are based at. Some decent clients.

Cons

- very bad, toxic culture which seems to be tolerated right from the top. A sad cry from what the company was 12 months ago - lots of redundancies with no support given to those let go. Despite claims of doing everything right in reality they are kept almost as secrets with seeming attempt to 'disappear' team members. This has created a sense of fear, and especially low morale for the people still here and left to pick up the pieces - there is a lack of psychological safety for fears of speaking up against bad behavior, bullying or poor decision making. It is quite the opposite of a transparent approach and it appears that you should absolutely do anything but challenge leadership.
