I worked at Huntsman Corp full-time

    Pros

Good work life balance. Good ideas for progression from senior management.

    Cons

Poor implementation ideas not transferred into actions. Each branch works almost seperately no team play across countries. Staff are kept uninformed until the very last minute and mislead. Several laid off without skilled management review, thus Decisions like this being made without rational or vision & room for alternate successful methods outside each managers spectrum. Lack of team say amongst changes implemented.

I have been working at Huntsman Corp full-time

    Pros

Relationships with the colleagues (Textile Effects and Advanced Materials) are friendly and kind. Wages are good The company offers the public transportation abo

    Cons

Forget about growing and developing within the Basel entity. It is well known in the company that development plan is an illusion. HR is far away from being reactive regarding work certificate if you have quitted the company. Nevertheless, they are reactive regarding EHS topics (accidents and so on) If you're ok with the responsabilities mentionned in the job offer go ahead. Do think twice if you would like to pursue a career within the company.

I have been working at Huntsman Corp full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Positive attitude and attention from HR. Good communication from very Top levels of organisation to associates. Investing in staff development possibilities. Currently, Investing in IT systems. Adapting fast to the market from business perspective. Money first attitude ( beneficial for very top executives).

    Cons

Lack of induction and on-boarding for new associates, very little care shown. Experienced associates retire taking knowledge with them. Poorly structured and documented company's past activities, projects, work done in the recent time, searching in the hay stack is the feeling that never leaves. Lack of structured work approach, 'fire fighting' approach everywhere and expected from you to do the same. Very hectic. Overall feeling is that company is lagging 15 years behind in IT solutions used, was not expected from this type of company. Work is done for the tick, not end result. Seen people burn-out, hundred people let go in last 6 month on short notice. Projects started-stopped. Money first attitude (- for bottom workers). Huge uncertainty.
