Pros

-partners are generally friendly and competent -general ethos is in the right place -charitable

Cons

I advise any actuary considering this firm to look elsewhere. Over the last few years, due to not meeting targets, the firm has completely changed their ethos from a friendly, considerate employer to working their staff to the bone for no return. *Bonuses are meagre and range between a tiny scale so don't think all the hard work will pay off! *While the partners are generally good, some practice management is completely attrocious with a complete lack of organisation, communication and transparency. Some project managers seem completely unskilled for the job and slow projects down further. *Resourcing for projects is very poor with management knowing very little about peoples skill sets(simply asking could help!) *little or no development of staff in some departments *project timelines are poorly scoped and often rushed *when issues are raised, there is a tendency to sweep it under the carpet despite being told to speak up regularly

We are saddened and disappointed to read your comments. Our business has been very successful in recent years, has grown considerably and diversified. Growth and change can bring certain challenges for individuals, but we are completely committed to preserving the values and culture that makes our business a great place to work. We always have, and will continue to put the wellbeing of our people ahead of profits something that is reflected in our very low attrition rate and vastly positive feedback from both current and former employees.

Pros

Good work life balance as hours were 9am to 5pm most days and opportunities to work with people from all office locations in the UK.

Cons

Repetitive work, sometimes very operational, lack of motivation among senior management, poor client team structure.

Pros

- Dont care about your CV rather your ability, have Oxbridge students next to people who didn't go to uni working together equally. - Management actually care about you and will give you opportunities if you ask for them and prove you deserve them. - Flexible with hours etc which is good for parents... - Amazing colleagues and so much fun and social things going on always, makes you look forward to going to work.

Cons

- Not company's fault but work can be repetitive and boring (pensions urghh). - If you want to get far will have to do a lot of studying and professional qualifications.

Thank you for your comments and advice. We are an organisation that values diversity and inclusion. We feel having people from different backgrounds working together encourages a creative thinking environment. Regarding studying towards professional qualifications, we have an excellent study package in place in order to support our students to get through this process with as much ease as possible.
