Pros
Tends to be very physically active work. The brothers and sisters who are genuine people make for great co-workers. Potential for a lot of variety in work especially on service trucks. The program gives back what effort is put in by the individual.
Cons
Nepotism galore among the signatory New Orleans area NECA contractors. NOEJATC is run inefficiently by incompetent board which has kept a bridge troll employed. Boot licking is highly encouraged by superiors and many backward azz Journeyman Wireman think because they suffered then the next generation also need to suffer. Working/thinking smarter in general isn't encouraged.
