Pros
As it's a very small business, everyone has to wear multiple hats, allowing each team member to learn about several different disciplines, often outside of their formal job descriptions. Started by an inspirational economist who built up a large portfolio of projects and strong track record in the USAID space. Good compensation, work life balance, and work environment.
Cons
As it's a small business, there aren't very clear organizational processes. Since the founder stepped down, IBI has lacked a clear direction, and it's hard to say what the firm will look like in 5 years (what kind of projects we'll implement, who will still be there, etc.).
