The company as a whole is centrally located and my team is one of the only fully remote teams. Since the company picks up many contracts and then hires for them there is a bit of a disconnect between corporate and the remote teams that were hired during the pandemic (a new thing for the company). The company has not fully adapted to remote work because much of the employees are in Virginia and have the ability to go to the office. Myself as well as a few others are not. And so it feels we are discounted and overlooked when corporate management training for example is an in person first event, and you are encouraged to come in person. Of course that is impossible for a subset of their employees but they don't seem aware of that.
