      Pros

      There are plenty of challenges to improve the processes and supporting systems. The teams were a pleasure to work with and most wanted to do the best job possible when they came to work. I highly respect the first level operators and supporting staff in Planning, Purchasing and Engineering.

      Cons

      Senior Management at the site and one step above lack the capacity to embrace the corporate values. There is an underlying hostility that creates a toxic environment at which the team fears escalating issues due to the potential of retaliation.. My team told me when I first started that "Nothing will ever change" with regards to living up to the corp value which I dismissed. I finally realized that they were correct so I had to move on...

      Pros

      Corporation has good benefits and compensation for the skilled jobs.

      Cons

      Specific to the Rochester site: Some people in charge are allowed to act without consequence. If you are on their good side, you can do well. If you cause any issue (including things like pointing out government regulations that are *supposed* to be followed), you'll be on their bad side. That's when things like getting written up for invalid reasons start happening. You won't get your bonus, and if you stick around after that, they'll just terminate you. So, it's basically like high school with pettiness and back stabbing. It's a shame, though, as if they would just follow all of the procedures, things would not only be smooth, but successful.
