Pros

Pay is competitive and the building is a nice area.

Cons

Working at IES Residential was one of the worst professional experiences I've had. Management is extremely poor, leading to a toxic office culture filled with constant drama and mistrust. The president of the company shows little to no compassion for employees and seems more focused on hiring his friends into management roles than on finding qualified leaders. The VPs, who should be setting the tone for leadership, are some of the worst managers I have ever encountered — each one a textbook example of micromanagement at its worst. They try to disguise the unhealthy environment with superficial gestures like monthly birthday treats and free Friday breakfasts, but it's all for show. Genuine care for employee well-being is entirely absent. There have also been numerous complaints of racism within the company, and it's clear that these serious issues are either ignored or brushed under the rug. Unsurprisingly, the turnover rate is through the roof. I would strongly caution anyone considering working here to think twice — no amount of free food can make up for the lack of respect, support, and basic human decency at this organization.

There really isn't any. Work-life balance depending on the department and some nice people depending on the department.

Cons

Where do I begin. -Dirty building (although they moved to a newer building) -TOXIC Management -Horrible/careless training -Disrespectful to employees -No growth opportunities -No useful resources -IT team is unresponsive and unhelpful and lack general knowledge -No remote opportunities -Horrendous training again -Everything is old school (printers, outlook 2013) -Insanely high premiums for health insurance (over $250 per month!) -Dishonest in the interview -Layoffs -Plenty of new and young people -High turnover PLEASE DO NOT WORK HERE. You have been warned.

Pros

Work/life balance. That’s it pretty much it.

Cons

Shady and corrupt. Too incestuous of a company to ever feel confident. The people at the top seem to make decisions based on their personal lives and not for the good of the company. Pay is low compared to pretty much any similar role at other contractors. Used to be a better place to work.
