Attitude of COO stank, had a very negative effect on everyone.

This environment can be said to be toxic. If you have other opportunities, I would highly recommend going with those. Upper management enjoys playing favorites. If you go against the grain or try to make a change outside of the comfort zone of the favorites you will be subject to passive aggressive comments and tones. The talk is very contradicting, where change is wanted but true willingness to change is rarely followed through. Systems are rarely followed and the culture of “this is always how it’s been done” is still embedded in the day to day
