Cons
Ever worked for a company where you were told to feel “lucky” and “blessed” to be a part of something so “great” even though you are treated no better than a dog begging for scraps by the owner? Well that is what working working at IMRG is like. IMRG does not give raises yet raises the price of benefits each year. Emails to HR got unanswered, phone calls go unreturned, and HR lies or pretends to not know an answer to something that is posted by them on their website (which is 20 years outdated). The owner of the company regularly posts “President Messages” that are more like diary entries. She mentions the haters, how she will overcome, how a client made her angry for not reaching out personally when she lost a contract (news flash, a client informing a company being that they didn’t get the contract IS them reaching out), and how wonderful and hard working she is. If she does mention others, it is usually in the same breath she mentions at least 2 things wonderful about herself. Don’t worry if you miss the written post, she will reiterate it during conference calls. If the owner catches wind of her employees being dissatisfied with their benefits going up she will act personally attack and lash out at the Project Managers. And good luck getting a write up on how much the company contributes to healthcare for their employees. The amount of work that is expected along with the specialized knowledge vs compensation (no 401k marching, benefits being sub par for the price, and no raises) is a joke. The only reason to take a job at IMRG is if you are in desperate need of a paycheck and do not want a gap in your resume while you look for a better job.
