Pros
- Coworkers - Start-up so you get to learn and grow - Remote (except content related for in-house content and returns/packaging team)
Cons
- Disorganized af (everything is on a tight schedule meaning everything is rushed from content, socials, design etc) - Too many meetings to get anything done and that could have been an email - PTO and benefits - Overtime - Below average pay. Addition to pay, asking for a raise was a nightmare. The co-founders, leads, would only have one excuse and that's because the company isn't making any money. Don't think that's something you should tell employees. If anything, that was my sign to dip. - Unprofessional. I would receive texts from the co-founders for last minute work OUTSIDE of work hours...but I learned how to have a work / life balance the hard way lol. - Favoritism. There was some serious favoritism most especially by Sharon. She would constantly praise one person but that can come off so wrong? Are others not working as hard just cuz you only recognize one person? She would give pet names for people she chooses. It's awkward every time and very unprofessional. - Expected to go above and beyond, going the extra mile at your job. If you don't, you're not thanked, praised, or recognized. - Employees don't stay long here. They really come and go which speaks for itself.
