Pros

Good company values, supports hybrid/fully remote work

Cons

Production is always understaffed and there is little room for promotion to a senior role unless you take on management responsibilities

Pros

My manager and senior manager are amazing, great people, great team, nice office, relaxed and flexible way of working. Doesn't feel too corporate, people seem to genuinely care about science. Lots of projects to get involved in (if you're looking for experience rather than progression). Good benefits.

Cons

Recent hiring freeze, currently offering fixed term contracts. Restructures have lead to some people being made redundant while others have been kept on and easily moved into other roles, which is starting to annoy people! Workload can be high and opportunity for progression is low. Despite good benefits and nice working environment, salaries are low. General moral has definitely dipped recently.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Hearing from colleagues is really important to us and helps ensure we continue to improve the experience of working here. While change is sometimes necessary as we respond to the wider landscape, we recognise that it can bring a sense of uncertainty. We’re focused on keeping colleagues informed and supported as best we can as things evolve. We regularly review how we support growth and create clearer pathways for colleagues as they develop in their roles. Making sure our reward programme is fair and transparent is also important to us, and we have clear processes in place to support salary decisions and share pay information. It’s good to hear that you value the working environment and the benefits on offer. We know this is something many colleagues appreciate. Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts.
