Pros

Great colleagues and decent flexibility regarding work pattern providing you confirm this with your line manager. When it's busy, it's BUSY. Bonuses fair but could be better.

Cons

Salary is lower than other agencies. When it's quiet it affects your productivity %, which will be questioned and will affect your opportunities for promotion if your account is quiet frequently. Micromanagement leads to a lot of stop-start, clients are not the most understanding. Often do overtime unpaid, especially as you become more senior.

Pros

Good company culture Good pay/compensation Can work from home The company trusts you and doesn't micromanage Big focus on career development The team works with you to accommodate your workload based on your strengths

Cons

Training at the start is good, but after that, some individual teams assume you know everything thereafter so in some cases in-team support is lacking. Each team within McCann Health Medical Communications is pretty independent, so there are lots of inconsistencies in how policies are upheld e.g the company has an "unlimited annual leave" approach: some teams allow 35+ days, while in others you will be penalised for requesting 27 (you have a 25-day contractual minimum). The basis for promotion can also vary widely. The level of creativity asked of a medical writer isn't as extensive as the company advertises
