Glassdoor does not give the option of no star.
In a nutshell, here’s what’s really going on at ISEE. The CEO and COO have a child together, but their relationship went south, and it's bleeding through the company. The CEO claims that the technology is available and ready, but there are no customers, which is a jab at the COO and the business development team. Meanwhile, the COO is pushing pilots and demos to prove that the CEO is lying and that the technology is not ready.
Beyond their child, the CEO and COO's views off their employees are pretty similar. The CEO looks for employees who are "yes men," and if you challenge him, you’re on his bad side. He doesn’t heed advice from employees, whether it’s about hiring or technology. The COO is known for being rude and disrespectful to those who report to her. Neither of them trusts that their employees are actually working.
It’s not that the employees aren’t working. As a leader, if the CEO changes his mind multiple times a week about the direction of the company how can anyone accomplish anything? Eventually, people will feel defeated and tired and find something new.
About nine months ago, the COO rolled out a back-to-office policy and then disappeared for two months. It’s her policy, so she should set the example. It’s not like she was traveling or had anything preventing her from coming to the office.
The CEO is really good at manipulating words and often creates a false sense of urgency. This is a known fact—he has lied to customers but does not take ownership of it. Many employees believe that if he’s lying to customers, he’s probably lying to employees and investors as well. This has contributed to a lack of trust in him and to employees leaving.
This has been the worst people management I’ve seen from a C-suite position. Literally the worst!
The company lost its hardware team; there isn't a single person left from that department. This will decrease their chances of succeeding and fixing current hardware issues with the autonomous system. Even if they were to start hiring people, so much knowledge has already been lost. The company has lost many other departments as well, but the disappearance of the hardware team will impact them the most.
All of this has led to a toxic work environment and quiet quitting.
If you don’t believe me, go see for yourself. I believe they are hiring.
