Pros

We got Juneteenth off one year, and a few hours off to get a covid shot. Payroll is consistently responsive to addressing errors. She knows who she is, and she rocked.

Cons

I'm only posting a negative review because I exhausted other options. Believe me, I wish I was done with these guys. I was in a long-term contract for one of their clients in the Birmingham area. I had the pleasure of riding out the contract with the client while they transferred their business to a competitor. Riding this job out meant unemployment, so I secured severance from the client. Since I was an employee of ITAC Solutions and not the client, the client worked out an arrangement with ITAC. The day of termination came and went, and I reached out to ITAC. "Your recruiter's working on it!" Not HR, unusual, but ok!?! ITAC made some uncomfortable decisions--for starters, they would not pay out my severance until they got paid first. Secondly, this severance process was not worked out in advance, so it was a journey of discovery for this recruiter. I was not in the best financial position (I had a potential job lined up and it fell through) and after a couple of weeks I was even asking that recruiter if ITAC could make a partial payment to help ends meet. Apparently that didn't even dignify a response. The whole time the recruiter was like "contractors don't typically get severance" and "we're not even making any money off of this" (this isn't embellished, he even explained it was called "passthrough" ). I thought these comments were asking for my patience and understanding, but man, I was wrong. Anyway, it took five weeks(!) to get money from the client. The money hadn't even been in my account a day before I reach out to the controller. Oh no, the payment's a week short! I don't hear back from the controller so I let that recruiter know. He reaches out to the client and was like "they say their payroll system says you only worked there 3 years. Would you like to handle this?" ITAC knew how long I had worked for the client, and no, ITAC was my employer, their responsibility. From a response like that, I point blank asked him if ITAC was gonna call it quits on the matter. I followed up a day later, and I received a very unprofessional call from that recruiter. He got fed up and let me have it--I was in the bind I was in because I was too picky with the jobs he had available, I was underskilled for the for the salary range I was asking for, and I was trying to cheat him out of a potential referral. Wow! I'm just an unemployed guy trying to provide for his family, I really wish I didn't have to beg and plead for my money, but that was ITAC's call to delay payout, not mine. He didn't have to treat me like something he scraped off his shoe. He even had me explain why I think I was entitled to severance. I thought a prior agreement was enough, but apparently not to this guy. He seemed to be under the impression that compensation is a favor he's doing for me, not an obligation to uphold. I'm not a legal guy and I didn't know what "promissory estoppel" was at the time, but I do now and that call should never have taken place, and especially not with that level of disrespect. This should have been managed by HR. If senior management is reading this, I challenge you to find out what happened--I suspect either this severance was so mismanaged they didn't even work out the amount with the client beforehand, or they refused to push back against a client. As much as they post about doing the right thing, I don't believe having an employee eat the loss for ITAC's mistakes/strategic business decisions fits the bill. The truth is, I had a positive relationship with ITAC up to that final call with the recruiter. They burned me over $1800, which they probably would have recouped next referral. My takeaway was that you only matter to ITAC as long as they're making a profit off of you. I felt I couldn't get any further with that recruiter, so I wrote the founding partner a 4 page letter explaining the situation and asking for a second look. I didn't get a response from the guy. At this point, I can't recommend them as a company.

Pros

The owner is nice and some of my coworkers were, as well. Holiday celebrations and birthdays are good. Benefits, bonuses and incentives are nice.

Cons

The two pros are overshadowed by the terrible leadership with a focus on keeping the same few people's pockets lined while everyone else is run over. Very cliquish teams that are afraid of change and dislike documenting processes for new employees because they want to keep owning the candidate pool, giving new recruiters very little chance to grow with the company. Some account managers are wonderful while others are not supportive at all and are more combative than anything, never feels like you're on the same team with the same goal. Flexibility is touted but is not the reality for people seeking any semblence of a work-life balance.
