Pros

They get a lot out the door and are an industry leader. Management succeeds in getting a lot of free work via overtime from over worked salaried employees.

Cons

SLOW to change. "We can't do that" mentality, especially their scheduling department who accepts schedules then says they "had to" but they can't make what they agreed to with customers. People promoted to manage other people who do not like people and had no supervisory experience or are not team players themselves and are now in charge of a team. Manager who spends more time trying to get rid of people they don't like than fixing processes and procedures to streamline work. Managers who micro manage their people so bad that it delays work, pulling people on and off projects several times in one day, not allowing SME's the ability to make decisions without fear of retaliation from management.

Deadend for IT

Pros

The worker level employees in OPS and in the Office, who still cared, were great to work with. In the Chanhassen location, they have an on-site gym which was very convenient.

Cons

Constant infighting between VP level management, no clear & unified message from leadership to the business fosters an environment of employee mistrust, unprofessionalism and employees who are simply putting in their time. The role of IT within IWCO is simply to keep a few core, antiquated, home grown solutions alive for the purpose of supporting their high-volume manufacturing platform. IWCO is a manufacturing company first and foremost, not an IT lead product\solution organization. IWCO continues to be a revolving door of young management talent that becomes disenfranchised and leaves to pursue better opportunities outside of the organization. What remains is a tired, old leadership team unwilling or incapable of looking to the future and an employee base too risk averse to look for something elsewhere.

We want every employee to have a long, fulfilling career at IWCO Direct. However, we realize not everyone will. For those interested in a technical career at IWCO Direct, we want you to know that we continue to lead our competition by investing in new technologies while leveraging legacy systems that remain effective. Finding the balance to support growth, optimize profitability, and drive operational efficiency is a complex challenge. Our results illustrate that we are responding effectively to the challenge. IWCO Direct senior leadership and management understand the entire landscape of service and security required in today’s marketplace. IT is a positive career path at IWCO Direct; younger employees are regularly given opportunities to expand their leadership skills and careers. This is illustrated by a number of employees who began their IT careers at IWCO Direct with entry level technical support skills and over a period of 3-5 years were identified as high potential employees who were promoted to manager and director roles.

Pros

Lots of room for promotion or career growth Gave out sporting event tickets every now & then Would do occasional all-employee lunches during quarter reviews

Cons

Training was nothing like they made it seem in interviews Management was completely into playing favorites - welcome back to HS! Health Insurance was not young female friendly; half of birth control options were not available/covered To say there was office politics would be putting it mildly! The older women in the office are extremely catty Half of the office is built into a hill so majority of working spaces have no natural light- and most are only equip with horrendous lighting! Got migraines constantly

We’re sorry to hear that your experience working with us wasn’t 100% positive, but rest assured we are listening to your feedback as part of our culture of continuous improvement. IWCO Direct is committed to providing all employees with a positive work environment where they can ask questions, raise concerns, and suggest improvements. We encourage employees to speak with their immediate manager or a member of the human resources team so that we can work to quickly correct concerns regarding work environment, conduct of co-workers or management, training opportunities, or any other work-related issue. We also strive to offer employees a comprehensive and competitive benefits program that addresses the needs of eligible employees and their dependents and welcome feedback so we can continue to improve our well-balanced options. We are addressing ways to improve our work environment and already have plans set for facility upgrades in 2018. Training has also improved with our Business Process Management, which is showing great results in streamlining processes, enabling learning, and solidifying strong practices on a project-by-project basis. We will continue to look for new ways to meet the health needs of all employees, including the young women who work with us, and search for ways to cultivate a culture of inclusion and respect. Thank you for your honest feedback.
