Pros

At this moment in time, there are no pro's to working here.

Cons

Morale is non-existent. Turn over is off the chart, with people handing in their notices with no other job lined up, just so they can get out quick. The true workers are being made redundant (warehouse and operational Admin staff) while new consultants and 'heads of' are drafted in to drive profitability - we are yet to see any positive result of this still. No pay rises for the true workers, yet pay rises for the directors are not a problem. Announce redundancies and then announce the appointment of a new 'Recruitment Co-ordinator' within days. Removal of company benefits such as subsidised lunch and parking, yet continue to advertise this as a perk on job adverts. No paid overtime, and disapproval when you refuse to work for free. Salaries are pitiful. Inadequate systems to cope with the volume of orders, and zero training for staff on how to correctly use the systems we do have. Inadequate HR department with no knowledge of correct maternity or health and safety procedures. Icon Live is a company that is hell bent on making a profit, with no regard for its employees. They won't even pay for the office printers to be fixed, but are happy to rent apple Mac computers for a whole department that they have since made redundant. I have no idea how this company is still running, and I do not picture it still running in its current state come christmas. Opportunity for progression is minimal, unless you are the favourite. Icon thrives on a bullying and blame-driven environment, where if you are not part of the 'popular group' clique then you will get nowhere and will go largely unnoticed, unless something has gone wrong and they need someone to blame for their own inadequacies. And this goes for even the higher managers running things that should no better. Never have I seen such a chasmic divide between management and general staff. But apart from all that, this place is GREAT.

Pros

I personally worked with pleasant and supportive co-workers and good Monday-Friday working hours-8:30-5pm however you will rarely be able to go for lunch and if you do it will be extremely swift. Gets your foot in the door if you want to progress your career in the Buying or Merchandising industry. I learnt a wide amount within in my short time here.

Cons

Not much company organisation at all, although it was fast pace there was often no order and strong processes. Blame culture is rife, not so much in the department I was working in but there was a lot in the other areas. Lacks inspiration in the working office, many work overtime with no extra pay. I was taken on with this Company for 4 months and then myself and 90% of my colleagues and other staff members working for Icon Live got made redundant with NO prior statutory 1 months notice. We were literally told on the day and the redundancy was actioned immediately due to the company re-registration with another company who were brought in to sort out Icon Live's finances of which were in debt in more ways than one.
