Pros

Everything. It's honestly a wonderful company to work for. You need to be the right type of person to work with K-5th, but if you are then it'll be a great fit.

Cons

It's only part time. Know this going in. It can't pay all the bills. Pay is average.

Pros

You can apparently get away with a lot.

Cons

I was an employee here for 2 years. Here is a list of things wrong with this establishment. Parents please read before sending your student there. Employees please read before working here. i will not add my name as I know I will be attacked if I do and I will not add the year. -the Owners show very racist and sexist tendencies. Including dressing up like a Mexican for Halloween, talking about the one "colored" employee, talking about woman's bodies, singing songs to students about "the man is working away, while the woman sits at home, cooking and cleaning" and much more. these are instances from the owners. It infuriated me so much I left. I am a full time teacher now and this was unacceptable. -I have witnessed employees in the preschool showing up still inebriated or some bragging about the drugs they did early And we're still messed up. I also was aware of two situations in which employees were drunk at work and parents were never informed. One even destroying property. This person STILL was employed after I left. -the "vans" were unsafe and at the time liability forms parents signed, meant at the time ILS was never liable for any student that rode in there vehicle no matter what. A parent removed there student due to this. Please read the fine print. -they overworked there staff so much, that when I left students were saying why can't ILS ever keep employees? Never paying overtime, not once and would demand you stayed. or when they did not would then play it as if you were not dedicated to the team . - they would threaten employees that left for a death in the family, for being sick or any other reason. -they also did not always pay there employees on time, at times not putting in the right hours and employees would have to wait for the next pay cycles. which is in fact illegal. This happened over and over. Some employees not being able to pay rent. -there was also many of us who PAID every month for health insurance, just to find out that for 6 months we we're never signed up for insurance. So the company was sitting on our money. Had we not noticed this would have been overlooked. -the entire family is cruel, rude, uneducated, not knowledgeable in the field, should not be running a business and I cannot believe the things I saw. There were many more things that I don't have room to write. I write this now as a successful and well rounded public school teacher who is EDUCATED in teaching students. There is nothing okay with how they taught the students, how they treated the employees or how they were vulgar towards not white cisgendered students and stuff. This is not an establishment that should still be running.
