Below is my honest review of Image Infosystems after being an employee for almost 2 years.
Pros
Diwali bonus is quite handsome(but there's a catch). You get to handle complete projects individually. Evening snacks. If you stay till 8:30 to 9 in the night(which is usually the case due to loads of work) Except for the senior management(four directors of the company) and senior managers, a lot of people were good in the organization. It was all thanks to those people I was able to stay there for so long.
Cons
1) Managers are not technically sound(except 1 or 2). If you are stuck with something expect no help from your manager(in most cases). 2) The company takes illicit advantage of freshers. Most of the freshers are compelled to work day and night. 3) NO Work-Life Balance. There is always a lot of work for a bunch of individuals. Especially if you are in the development team, it's quite usual for you to think of quitting the job and you end up questioning your life in the organization. They'll not hesitate for a second to ask you to work on Saturday and Sunday. And even if you're on leave you can get a call/email anytime and you'll need to work on it. If you're going on a vacation, they'll simply ask you to carry your laptop with you, so that you can work from wherever you are going. 4) Worst Appraisals. The appraisal is usually delayed for 6 months. The whole process gets completed in April each year but you'll get about your appraisal in October-November. You work so hard(or forced to work) disrupting or rather destroying your work-life balance. After which you'd expect a decent appraisal at the very least but all you get is a sheer disappointment. And after all this, your arrears will be delayed for another 6 months. And No appraisal for anyone who joins in or after August. 5) HR department(so-called) has NO authority at all. If you are having any sort of trouble and you expect the HR department to resolve the issues, please don't. 6) Work environment is not good at all. It's normal for managers to scold their team members for petty things. It's the same way company CTO treats all the managers(other employees too). You'll hear CTO(also the company founder) shouting at the senior managers all the time. I've seen him going mad at a senior manager for not scrolling where he wanted him to during a meeting, saying "Are you not able to see what I am seeing?!!"(in REALLY intense and loud tone!!). And this is just a single incident. 7) Company is somewhat biased towards south indian employees. Compared to others, south indians are given leaves easily. 8) NO Salary Slips. Do you believe salary slip is a must for an employee? Guess what? You are mistaken if you work at Image Infosystems. You'll have to especially ask the Accounts Department if you want your salary slip for which they will take forever moreover you'll be asked for a proper explanation as for why you need it?. I've even heard them saying "Do we need to provide him salary slip??". 9) 2.5 years bond(their trump card) with 50,000 bond amount. 10) No respect for employees. 11) LOADS of work. You will be handed over a number of projects at once. And if you're working in a DEMO your life will be pathetic as you'll have to stay in the office for days. It's even worse in some cases. One of my colleague who used to work all day would also get calls from the clients at night(1-3AM) and in the early morning after which he would be up all night. So now you know about Work-Life Balance :) 12) Low Compensation. 13) Salary is never on time. Payday is 7th of every month but you only get your salary after 15th. If you go to HR or Accounts to ask for the salary, in turn, they'll advise you to spend wisely and manage your expenses properly. I may have missed a few points. Do not believe in positive reviews as most of them are forged by HR department on Management's orders.
