Pros

Being around 3D Printers is probably the only positive. I got to meet a few decent people during my unpaid) employment.

Cons

The two directors are a complete nightmare and are very aggressive. During my unpaid employment I was shouted at publically for being 15 mins late due to transport issues Interns are treated like cattle and receive no real prospects towards paid employment. The company is basically using interns to populate their 'myminifactory' website with design files and they are treated very badly. There is no positive company culture and all of the unpaid employees are treated as expendable. The iMakr brand has an incredibly bad reputation in the 3D space and has been known to mislead potential employees and small businesses looking for funding. They openly advertise having funding available for 3D printing startups but what this actually means is you will join their company (unpaid) and develop your project under their name and allow them to take the credit. This is the worst company I have ever worked for and I welcome the day they close up shop.

Pros

3D printers are awesome. interesting people come in who you can network with. hipster location in nyc. the store, like the technology, is far from stagnant, there are always new machines in and different projects to work on.

Cons

mundane projects are aplenty, mundane problems too. be prepared to work unpaid hours, and to be paid very low wage or nothing at all.

Pros

Please let me justify the bad reviews from before. iMakr was being left reviews under their sister company which has now separated and moved location so things have changed along with management. - A diverse group of people who have come from overseas so it's a great cultural place to be in. - People here are absolutely lovely, easy to talk to and staff occasionally arrange activities. - You learn a lot if you just ask to be challenged. We're a medium-sized team with a lot of roles available so chances are you'll welcomed to do whatever you're looking for as long as you let people know! - I love management there. They each have their funny and interesting characteristics which you'll decide for yourself once you've gotten to know them more. - I never woke up with that, "Eurgh... I have to go to work" in the morning.

Cons

- Pay could be better, but that's what it's like for start-ups.
