Pros

The residents are awesome and I loved getting to know each of them. Beautiful place to work. Most coworkers know how to communicate respectfully and are helpful. I love my actual job-the work.

Cons

Management Worked alongside a sociopath before I left. The last straw(when I knew I had to leave) was when they assaulted me though I had no proof.

Pros

Relationships with the residents were very fullfilling and made me want to go into work just to see them and talk to them about their day. We sometimes got free food at the end of the night depending on how the cooks were feeling.

Cons

You could not get a single day off without your manager constantly interrogating you as if you truly needed the whole night off and not be able to work up until 5 minutes before you needed to leave (I never once was able to leave on time because they kept making me do more and more). No one will be willing to sub for you because it's a terrible place to work. You don't get tips, you get a "scholarship" fund when you are a senior and miss out on all of that money if you leave earlier. I talked to several other employees who recieved that "scholarship" fund and it was not even 1,000 dollars which I easily make in a month at my new job, let alone four years of working there. Inconsistent hours, you could get called in on the same day an hour before. It was always insanely hot in there because all the residents were freezing but all the workers would be sweating and standing in the freezer.
