-Management is very concerned with your organization almost to micromanagement levels; between your daily routine, your uniform, et cetera, it felt like they were hovering at all times.
-This is a business where people have worked in for 5-15+ years. They are a "family" business but they are very, very exclusive. I felt like I was not part of the team even though I handled a lot of work.
-You could be running around in circles, digging yourself into the ground, getting tons of work done for others, and the people you're working for would be on Facebook or texting or leaving early or coming in late or taking multiple lunches, and still, you were the one getting into trouble over nothing!
-They have mandatory training but they don't enforce it... it's really confusing. You should establish a two-week training session and then work like normal... it just doesn't make sense.
-Their intention to make an "impact" really makes them have their heads inflated with egotism... they believe they are the best, always. It's pretty condescending.
-Heavy religious values. If that's your dealio, cool; if not, you'll feel slightly uncomfortable.
-Drama and gossip runs high in this small business. I advise to keep to yourself and not jump in; however, keeping to yourself places you as an outcast. It's hard to be involved when people do not want you to join in, and then they get upset with you when you don't!
-It is impossible to get anywhere higher up in this company. These are people that have been that same position for the last 10+ years. There is nothing you can do unless they retire or die.
-My salary sucked. They weren't even offering me what I had asked when I was hired, because of dumb reasons; there are no ways to get raises either. For the amount of work I had to do, it was really ridiculous. You could get a 25 or 50 cent (I forget) raise after completing their long, convoluting "training" but even at that point, it was near impossible to complete and truly not worth it. Why not actually train employees when they, I dunno, get hired?
-People would "drop the ball" on tasks they assigned to complete regularly (daily, weekly, whatever) and then dump those huge backed-up projects on someone else. It's dumb. How is "dropping the ball" not okay to do yet it's okay to force some other poor soul to fix their mistake?
-Everyone is so hypocritical here. You'll catch on soon enough.
