      A great company that encourages independent thinking and decision making

      Pros

      - The work environment is not for all, but fosters and encourages direct dialogue with co-workers to solve problems/personal issues as quickly as possible. I enjoyed the direct aspect of the environment. - Great production team, the camaraderie and uplifting nature of those around you really inspires you to feel better , think better and self-improve.

      Cons

      - Starting pay for me was way below the average for a video editor, almost comically low. Yearly wage increases barely offset the increase in inflation every year. I had to supplement my pay with other work opportunities. Make sure to negotiate the terms that you want/deserve. - Opinions on hybrid work environment was non-negotiable and left no breathing room or flexibility.

      Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate you calling out the great team we have at Impact Theory and completely agree. Our unique working environment is not for everyone and is intentionally crafted to be that way. We host an onsite work requirement due to the minute-by-minute collaboration that is needed on our projects and our fast-paced environment. We have tested remote work significantly over the COVID-19 years, and unfortunately, it did not yield the results we needed. We do offer a flexible 1-day remote work-from-home day per week and an extremely generous unlimited PTO policy to support our team members to take the time they need when they need it. In addition, our pay ranges are continually reviewed in alignment with local market rates and are consummate with the experience level of our hires. Our HR department warmly welcomes compensation conversations, as does our leadership team, as we foster an environment of radical transparency and feedback. One comment that caught our attention was your advice to our team to pay our interns. We don't have any interns, but in the event we did, we would absolutely pay them fairly as we pay all of our employees, contractors, and freelancers.
