Pros

Great benefits, flex time, ability to sometimes work from home.

Cons

Policies made on the whim of a higher-up. CEO wanted open office, so they made an open office, regardless of how terrible it is for the employees. Needed to concentrate to do my job. Impossible. Open office was to "encourage communication in a studio". Then VP chastises development for talking too much. VP makes game design changes and art changes at will. Then criticizes project takes too long. Creativity strangled as VP turns to cookie cutter, assembly line approach. If you don't toe a line that you don't even know about, you are let go. There is zero job security. Salary ok, bonuses subjective, tho say they are royalty based. Royalty formula is never shown, so can be adjusted as desired to get desired amount, AFAIK. Little room for advancement. Pigeonholed into job. Specialized to the point that finding new job is nightmare. Non-compete wipes out only jobs could reasonably get. Supposed to be cooperation btwn studios, but several are militant not wanting to share ideas unless you ask n get permission. IP strategically not company owned, if desired by the favorites. Rampant favoritism. Seemingly random firings. Very low morale. High stress.

Thank you for the feedback. We regret you feel you had an unsatisfactory experience at IT. Our open office environment is rooted in IT’s culture; we believe it has positive impact on workplace productivity while giving our employees the chance to easily collaborate. Though we recognize there are pros and cons to every individual, we pride ourselves on employee engagement and the direct correlation it has to increased and improved work product! We value our employees and therefore put in constant effort to this end continuously working towards making IT the greatest place to work. Through access to things like flexible work schedules, volunteer events, on-site employee activities, department luncheons, and break room activities, we do our best to encourage work-life balance for our people. In the unfortunate circumstance where an employee is let go, there is much time and consideration taken between the employee and our management team before a determination is made; separations are never random. We believe it is important for employees to be aware of their short-comings so they have the opportunity to improve, but we likewise share encouragement, gratitude and acknowledgment for a job well done. To address your concerns related to our application of NCAs, please note they are not designed to overly-bind our employees, but rather to protect the Company’s IP for the sake of our business and the product our people work so hard to create. All new hires are made aware of this contractual obligation at the time of offer so this legal request is never a surprise but an employment consideration every applicable individual should consider carefully. As a note, all of our separated employees are provided with an exit interview opportunity as we encourage honest and open communication and feedback with every individual we employ. We hope you took the chance to share your feelings while employed with management and/or HR while employed with IT as we offer various methods to do so via our open-door policy, employee satisfaction surveys, periodic manager check-ins, annual managerial reviews, etc.

Pros

Business is run like a family - Management treats the employees (for the most part) like family so there's opportunity to get the individual attention you may need as an employee. They tend to be more understanding and patient with employees than other companies, sometimes to a fault. Perks - Benefits are great (health, dental, 401k matches, etc), casual work environment (almost to an extreme), flexible work hours, laid back work environment, decent vacation/sick allowances, ability to work from home when needed depending on job type. The people - Most employees are easy going, fun to work with, and a joy to hang out with. Employees here tend to become close friends and form bonds that extend outside of the workplace, something that doesn't happen at most companies.

Cons

Business is run like a family - Because management treats the employees like family it means that there are favorites, and that even people who are bringing departments down and not doing their jobs properly continued to be employed. Decisions aren't always made based on performance or skills and this really holds the company back. No room for personal growth - In both the job descriptions and during interviews, management will tell you how much potential there is to grow and develop. They'll even go as far as to make promises of projects and responsibilities you'll grow into the longer you're with them. But in 80% of the company it eventually becomes pretty clear that there is no room for individual growth. The position/level you are hired at is where you will stay, despite what they tell you. There are few promotions and even fewer recognitions of good work. Most of the recognition happens at an upper management level, as they take credit for what their departments do. This is not a place to work for if you want to grow and develop your own career. Close mindedness - The management will tell you they want your ideas, and they want to constantly improve, but the truth is they are very much stuck in their ways. Innovations and creative endeavors are kept to a minimum because that's not how it has been done in the past. If you have a different way of thinking they will constantly push back on you. This can make for great challenges but lead to a feeling of constant defeat when your feedback falls of deaf ears. Very frugal - Don't expect to work with the latest technology, hardware or software. Upgrades are often delayed until the very last minute for both computers and software packages. Even if it can be justified as a means to do your job, it will wait until they absolutely have to. The frugality of the company also means below average salaries, limited raises and pathetic cost of living adjustments.

Pros

Provide good health insurance plan

Cons

Incredible Technologies brags about being a growing company with an unbelievable tenure record that more than half of the employees have been with them for 9 years or more. However, they fail to mention that recently 30 plus employees were laid off due to financial difficulties! There was NO WARNING, NO SEVERANCE and ONE month of health insurance. Many of those employees were outstanding employees and had been with IT for MORE THAN 9 years! They also “claim” to foster a culture of innovation and provide a fantastic team-oriented work environment. That’s a joke! Each year, they make a huge deal about Happy Happy Bonus Day. After you have been overworked and unappreciated, you then have to sit back and watch management pat themselves on the back and take all of the credit for the “TEAMS” accomplishments. It is pretty clear to see who is getting the real bonuses and who is getting the “token” bonuses. Looking for an INCREDIBLE place to springboard or enrich and develop your career? Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company!
