New Parent Company is Clueless

Pros

Good coworkers and leadership that is sympathetic and will listen to you. Old parent company was fantastic. Full time work from home.

Cons

Benefits are basic with lousy dental. The new parent company seems to have no clue how to run a multi brand/international company and especially forgets to include Canadians. Executives are constantly moving leaders from one area to another - people with no experience in that area which is not helpful for the employees. They've destroyed the good reputation the old parent company had worked years for. They've thrown away droves of great talent in favor of cheap foreign labor which has dragged down the QA and service levels.

You got to work remote, working on content featuring pets is nice, good pay.

Cons

After 2022, management changed and everything went way down hill. Very bad middle managers and supervisors, all about making more money and no longer caring about employees as people, tons of overtime, and adding new responsibilities beyond job description, never ending shifting priorities (17 things will be a priority for 2 months, and there's tons of pressure and tight deadlines to work towards this new goal, only then to have the rug pulled out and be told it's not a priority and they're scraping everything the team busted their butts on for the last several months/year(s). This happened constantly!). Marketing team is very disorganized overall, understaffed and with under qualified people.

Cons

This was a great place to work about a year ago but in the last year they are running really lean and have cut a lot of hard workers and knowledge experts out. Only reasonable explanation for their actions is that the company is unable to stay afloat unless it cuts costs aggressively. No opportunities for advancement either, they have strict years of experience requirements and do not budge for any reason.
