      Don’t care about DAGs

      Pros

      Fellow DAGs are great people and make it hard to leave. The work is interesting and you are constantly learning new things.

      Cons

      Management is filled with horrible people that don’t think of DAGs as human beings. They expect attorneys to work 60 plus hours a week despite making significantly less than private attorneys. They have no problem throwing staff under the bus and don’t take care of anyone but themselves.

      nice people but inevitably political

      Pros

      Exposure to many different legal areas and sorts of cases. Good mentor program and ample feedback. Nice people.

      Cons

      The different divisions are very different and many get pretty political. I also frequently ran into the assumption that everyone in the office came from the same political camp; thankfully, this wasn't true, but made for some awkward moments. Choose wisely, especially if your politics don't align with the current AG's.

      PTO is great, government building amenities are good, training is fantastic

      Cons

      Election years are stressful, senior management is out of touch (Senior management changes between administrations)
