      Great place for a self starter.

      Pros

      This is the closest you will get to business ownership, without the hassles of HR AR and AP. You choose your vendors your clients and how you go to market. You are a W4 emplyee Great corporate software for ordering and tracking of orders.

      Cons

      It is imperative that you already have a client base of existing loyal customers. You will need to build your own leads sources and maintain your company stores, which are provided by the company. You are on your own for gas.

      Corporate Environment

      Pros

      Minimal micromanagement Positive work environment Good humor throughout the workforce - everybody seems almost like family. Also, that turkey fry was just to die for. All around, it is an environment in which you can feel free to set your own pace.

      Cons

      Office frequently gets quite cold - each member of my department actually has their own space heater. For somebody who is not capable of managing their own time well, this may not work, as the lack of micromanagement may actually harm their productivity.

      Pros

      I didn't feel positive about anything

      Cons

      I was hired as part time Designer in the Carolinas office. I received no training. They couldn't even give me a list of. the furniture lines they represent and didn't know the correct names for the software they use. After 15 years of experience in Design, I was treated as an intern only given small tasks which was belittling. Both partners told me continuously they work independently of one another. Perhaps that's code for "they don't really get along well".
