Pros

There are some people that truly want to do great work. They are strategic and have the ability to take the business to the next level.

Cons

The same people that are innovative and strategic are treated poorly and taken advantage of. At Infineon, there are multiple cultures across the business due to acquisitions, and sitting in HR you're subject to the top-down cultures that prevail (unfortunately). As someone in HR, you're expected to shut up and do your job as you're told. If you have ideas, if you speak up or if you try to influence change, you're scapegoated. The HR org is the absolute worst with their hypocritical LinkedIn posts about how great the team is; only if you drink the kool-aid. The HRBP leads are demeaning and blame the service center when something is wrong but issues are never resolved, meeting after meeting. They don't know policy and they gaslight you when you speak up to address the real work that needs to be done. There is a reason the turnover is high in HR and it's the incessant need to stroke its own ego. The HR structure changes every year without a direction and without people in place who can be leaders. There is no career advancement in HR because the model changes.
