Pros

*Salary is higher than competitors *Co-workers

Cons

*Upper management needs to stop "bringing down the hammer" (actual words from management) and micromanaging mentality and trust their employees *HR isn't a thing, cannot bring issues since they are buddy buddy with upper management *Yelling at your employees weekly, it's not professional *Mgmt's horrible bully behavior is justified by older employees as "he's just passionate" or "he's dedicated to the company" *They will tell you that there's room to grow, change your career path, wear many hats. It's a fake pitch and not the case; extremely little opportunity for growth. *Benefits are NOT good. Agreeing with the other post on here, it takes 7 years to be vested for your 401k. ITI will also not match anything until after 1 year of working. If you want to be surrounded by employees who are crying/going on long walks to collect themselves because of stress and being yelled at by upper management, have your deliverable change by the hour (every single day), no lead in your corner to defend you (too afraid to speak up to management), and countless hours of un-automated copy and paste excel work, then work here.

Growth and Challenges

Pros

Never a dull moment. If you want a place the presents challenging workload, diversity on staff and very meaningful work this is the place. Opportunities where developers are choosing the solutions and team members supporting the customers are proving it out. Very symbiotic between the customer support resources and developers. They have present a very respectful way of working with each other really not found elsewhere.

Cons

The downtime is never. Being small means resources are wearing a lot of hats. For some this is just not a good fit as this stretches people, but does push them to have success perhaps where they otherwise never would have tried.

Pros

+ Get a taste of everything from database to backend to frontend. If you show interest in a specific area, you will likely get additional responsibilities in that aspect. + Modern frontend tech. New applications are written in Angular 5 + Friendly coworkers + Decent benefits

Cons

- Small, growing company means organization can sometimes be a problem. Many company practices are not made to scale to a larger dev team. - Many projects but relatively few developers means deadline can be tight. - Little documentation. Coworkers tend to get by on tribal knowledge. - Everything that isn't the frontend of new applications is a little outdated.
