Pros

Friendly people Ok benefits Good pay considering the lack of workload Short working hours

Cons

No sense of leadership from the senior partners A real sense of 'them and us' between the executives and the admin team - I felt like I had gone back to the madmen era and become part of the typing pool A very outdated CRM system that I think had been in place since the 1990s An outdated and slow IT system that desperately needed updating - having no IT support on site made working life difficult A lack of management and development of the PA team - PAs were not utilised effectively or pushed to achieve more than the most basic level of support. A very dull working environment

Pros

Great culture, leading organisation in the market. Strong dealflow and strong leadership from the managing partners. Promotion through the ranks possible and is done in a meritocratic way. Great place to work.

Cons

Can be competitive among individuals as the deal team is now quite large. However, overall the atmosphere is very collegiate and deal teams support each other.

Pros

Very generous benefits (Thursday massages, lovely office etc). Good work-life balance.

Cons

Very old school business practices with a slowness to innovate. Plus open discussions of prejudice in the office, including elitism, fatphobia etc. Very obvious that a certain 'type' of person is preferred at Inflexion, ie wealthy, upper-middle class, white or token POC, name brand university etc. I didn't feel particularly comfortable with these cultural undertones during my time.
