We recognise that this review was left some time ago, and we’ve recently started managing our Glassdoor presence more actively under our new People and Culture manager. It’s difficult to recall specific cases from memory, but we would like to clarify a few points raised. Firstly, we want to confirm that the business has a sole director and is not a family-run business. While some family members have worked within the organisation in the past, it isn’t accurate to describe us as a family business. However, we do pride ourselves on fostering a culture where both our workforce and the young people we support feel like they are part of a family. Regarding our marketing strategy, it is straightforward and based on building relationships and partnerships. This ensures that we can effectively support young people, who remain at the centre of everything we do. Our financial accounts are publicly available on Companies House, where it’s clear we operate as a profit-for-purpose company with ethical values at the core of our decision-making. In terms of risk assessments, we have always had a policy to complete them thoroughly, even during times when we were unregulated. Our pre-admission process is robust, aligns with best practices, and ensures high standards of care and support. As for the allegations of poor behaviour by service managers, we take such claims very seriously. We have clear policies in place that foster a respectful and supportive work environment, and we would not tolerate any inappropriate behaviour from managers or staff members. Regarding overnight shifts, it is standard in any residential setting for vulnerable young people that staff are required to support if an incident occurs during the night. Staff should be paid their hourly rate in addition to the sleep-in rate if required to stay awake.
